I found this online today and thought it was terrific: Ben Cohen presents the military budget represented in terms of Oreos.
If you’re on a dial-up, this will probably take quite a while to download, but if you have a high speed connection you’ll have no problems at all.
I’ve always admired the Ben and Jerry’s corporation, and it was exciting to see what Ben has put together on the web as it relates to political activism. After I watched the video, I immediately registered with his new organization, True Majority.
Here’s a quick synopsis of True Majority. They’re a non-profit, non-partisan, tax deductible corporation. When you register on their site, you can use their site to send faxes to your congressperson on various issues. They have “ten principles” that you can read about on their site, and they send periodic updates on social and political issues. It’s nice to see someone from the left doing something great as far as public relations goes.
