I’ve worked for Hotels.com now for over 9 years, which is more than half my adult life, but I’ve decided to make a change and take a job at the Dallas Observer in the classified ad sales department. I’ll be making the change on 4/6 of this year. It’s an interesting change, because I’m making a move from a management role to a sales role, but I feel like it’s a good change for me for any number of reasons. The stress of management may or may not be what I’m actually cut out for in life. Sales has never been particularly stressful for me, so I’m thinking that this has been a good decision for me and I’m pretty happy about it.
My new office is going to be downtown in the Observer building, which is cool since it’s walking distance from one of my favorite bars and eating places, Adairs Saloon. Definitely going to be down the next Thursday night for the Brian Houser show.
So anyway–goodbye Hotels.com. It’s been fun, and I’m leaving with a lot of great memories.
And hello Dallas Observer. I’m looking forward to my new opportunities with you.
